As a featured artist in Kevin O’Callaghan’s Obsoletely Fabulous exhibition, I reimagined a piece of outdated technology, (love letters), as a piece of furniture, (a love seat). I created or found all of the materials to make this piece.

During World War II, when countless soldiers were separated from wives and girlfriends, it was common for them to express affection in letters. The letters in the seat cushions, sent from Robert Porter to Donna McCutcheon during and after World War II, are one example. They both married other people.
