Typography animated to "March Past" by the Oscar Peterson Trio.
A typographic video tackling the widespread problem of accidental gun violence among children. I created the concept for the video and did the art direction, production, location scouting, filming and editing. I thought that a toddler finding a gun in his nursery would draw attention to this problem through an uncomfortable visual juxtaposition. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence estimates that in the U.S., 124 children and teenagers are unintentionally killed by guns every year and an additional 3,061 are unintentionally injured.
Steam rising from halal carts in the dead of night connotes the intrigue of classic noir and the seamy underbelly of the New York of yesteryear. I wrote, produced, edited and co-directed the video. Starring William Rosenfelt, Scott Ross and Livia Scott. Filmed and Co-Directed by Marjorie Lin. Theme Music: "The Carpetbaggers" by the The Brother Jack McDuff Quartet
A promotional video for "Superhero Temp Agency," my comedy podcast. I made it look like a TV ad for the temp agency where the podcast takes place and deliberately made the video look as bad and old as possible. In addition to writing the script, I produced the entire video from start to finish: directed and cast the actors, made the set, edited the footage, etc.
